Doug Kertscher and Blake Frye Win Verdict of $2.73 Million in Securities Fraud Case

In October 2005, Doug Kertscher and Blake Frye won a verdict of $2.73 million on behalf of minority shareholder / plaintiff Roger Ervast in a securities fraud case against Ervast’s previous employer, a subsidiary of Fortune 500 company Dow Chemical, who was represented by Alston & Bird. The verdict followed a lengthy appeal process including an appeal to the Supreme Court of Georgia. The case is currently being appealed.
