Martha Decker’s practice focuses on general civil and related matters.  She has extensive experience in complex and technical litigation, including patent, copyright and trademark litigation.  She has been a part of a successful trial team in technical litigation involving electronic product failures in the field due to faulty firmware.  She has also successfully tried a multimillion dollar copyright case to a jury.  Her patent cases include significant cases involving microprocessors, software and telecommunications.

Martha has also played a major role in successfully defending a major franchise against RICO and fraud claims brought by over thirty franchisees.  Among other clients, she has represented Martha Stewart, Emeril Lagasse, Home Shopping Network, Moe’s Southwest Grill and its founder Martin Sprock in major cases.  Prior to joining Hill, Kertscher & Wharton, LLP, Mrs. Decker was an associate with a law firm in Phoenix, Arizona, focusing her practice on commercial litigation, tort and insurance law, and legal ethics.
