Abigail Sawyer represents clients in complex litigation involving employment, intellectual property, and commercial disputes, bringing a strategic and disciplined approach to matters where the stakes are high and the legal issues are nuanced.
A native of Newport News, Virginia, Abigail earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville before receiving her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law. While at Georgia Law she served as a member of the Journal of Intellectual Property and interned for Judge JP Boulee in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Abigail approaches litigation with the belief that successful dispute resolution is built on a mastery of both applicable law and the underlying facts, paired with unwavering discipline throughout the life of a case.
“We don’t often associate discipline with litigating cases, but having a sound plan—and the resolve to stay the course—is often what separates good results from great ones. At HKW, we have an experienced team that understands when to press forward and when precision and restraint lead to better outcomes in complex cases.”
